It was actually a photo seminar put up by Jigar (A local wedding/engagement photographer) He setup a 4 part session starting with planning, actual shooting, editing, and post processing. He was able to find this couple (Crystal and Devon) whom recently got engaged. There were 7 photographers chasing them around North Beach, SF for a good 3 hours. Very nice couple and quite photogenic.
The day was beautiful. I couldn’t asked for a better photo shooting weather. It was a big change from all the raining weather we been getting here. As such, I found out that I ended up under exposing a lot of my shots since there was so much light around. The session started around 2:00pm and ended around 5:00pm. The set show here are my favorite 5 pictures. The couple were wearing a black and white theme thus I had to leverage their clothing and converted couple shots as black and white.
Overall, it was a great experience. Learned quite a bit about how to approach and converse with the subjects. I must say, doing couple portraits really made me think more about composition and modeling the couple.
All the shots were done with Canon 5D MKII and Canon 85mm 1.2L

Shot with Canon 5D MKII and Canon 85mm 1.2L

I was doing a Portrait Photo class hosted by Jigar in North Beach, SF. While walking around shooting the couple, I came upon this individual on the step of the Saints Peter and Paul Church right across from Washington Park. I like to say these two pictures are my favorite out of the 3 hours of shooting. Some of the pictures of the couples turned out great, but I don’t think it stirs the emotions I get from this picture. The worst part about it is I actually didn’t have any cash on me since I wasn’t expecting to spend any money on this shoot. Would easily love to give him some change.
Anyways, both picture shot with Canon 5D MKII and Canon 85mm 1.2L
